Technology advances while lucidity declines
In the grip of crippling ignorance we rashly drone
Despite the deepest well of knowledge we've ever known
Civilizations rise and fall as a general rule
But this race to extinction is unique in its abuses

Rapaciousness annihilates all it can afflict
A serpent wraps around the Earth tightly to constrict
The powermad they make me hope that there's a hell
Though I know that I'm no innocent, I'm sure to see them there
